Free Virtual Workshop for Landlords and Property Managers

The City of Concord’s Housing Department and the Planning & Neighborhood Development Department are partnering with the N.C. Human Relations Commission to provide a virtual Workshop for Landlords and Property Managers on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.  

The event will feature a presentation by Sharesa Wilkins, a Fair Housing Investigator with the North Carolina Human Relations Commission’s Civil Rights Division.  

Please join us to learn more about tenants’ rights, landlords’ responsibilities, and the federal and state laws that govern these rights.

The Free Virtual Workshop will cover following topics:

  • Federal and State laws prohibiting housing discrimination

  • The North Carolina Fair Housing Act and what it covers.

  • Types of discrimination

  • Reasons for complaints

  • Examples of violations
